Crest Cottage

Crest Cottage is situated on a flat 1 ¼ acre lot fronting beautiful Lake Toxaway. Newly renovated throughout, the cottage offers a tasteful décor with 3 bedrooms and 3 baths, an open living room, dining room, a well-appointed kitchen, covered deck, and new HVAC.

A 21’ dock suitable for a rental boat. There are 2 paddleboards on the property available to guests. In addition, Crest Cottage provides guests Optional access to the Lake Toxaway Country Club and is available from April - November. *subject to application and usage fees*

Please note, you may not trailer a boat of any kind onto the waters of Lake Toxaway. However, boat rentals are available through Lake Toxaway Marina. You may reach Lake Toxaway Marina by calling (828) 884-6919 or visiting online. The boathouse on property is reserved for owners’ use.

  We had a wonderful time staying here with our two children. The house is well equipped and I love that owners have preserved the original charm of the place. The location is very good, close to two wonderful restaurants- Panthertown and Old Station. It is about 15 minutes from the Lake Toxaway Country Club, which we enjoyed using during our stay. No complaints whatsoever. We hope to be back next year.

  We really enjoyed our stay at Crest Cottage. It has been nicely updated recently, with fresh bathrooms and kitchen. We had everything we needed for a fun family weekend up in the mountains - the house was a good size for a family of 4 to spread out in, and the big yard and porch were great for outdoors fun. There was quite a bit of road noise on Friday, with the sound of trucks going by for much of the day, but Saturday and Sunday were much quieter. Other than that, it is a great house on the lake.

  Clean and partially updated, this cottage w/lake view actually looks better than in photos. Nearby road noise prevents this property from being a perfect quiet mountain retreat. Excessive rain also created horrible septic odor in one bath/bedroom, forcing us to move our belongings out of the room, close the door, and remain home in the event it spread to other rooms. We called immediately with concern and were promised a call back; no call back came that day (but someone did come to check on owner's boat.) Worst part was expecting septic odor to overtake house; thankfully, it did not. BEST part of this rental is golf club access! Friendly, wonderful people, beautiful course and club setting as well as good food were so welcomed and enjoyed! Lake Toxaway and country club are keepers!

  We had the good fortune of renting Crest Cottage right as it came onto the market in July of 2021. The home has recently been renovated, and is comfortably and elegantly appointed. The bathrooms are all updated, as is the HVAC. The home also has a working fireplace. Some rentals feel like rentals, clean and adequate. Crest Cottage feels like a good friend let you borrow their vacation home. I dare say the kitchen has everything a home chef could ever want or need, even down to an instant pot. There are beautiful dishes for indoor use and melamine for children or porch use. The bedrooms are all a nice size, and equipped with comfortable mattresses and nice cotton bed linens. Two of the bedrooms have en suite bathrooms, while the third bedroom is right across the hall from the third full bathroom that also serves as a powder room for guests. Lastly, the location of the house is perfect. It is off of the main streets which keeps it quiet. It is on a lively cove which is perfect for stand up paddle boarding, or launching a canoe. The yard is expansive, so there is plenty of privacy from the neighbors. We feel very fortunate to have found this little gem. So much so that I didn’t want to write a review until after I had already booked it for next summer! A huge thanks to the owners for the love and care they put into this home...it shows.

  We celebrated my sisters 50th birthday at Crest Cottage. It’s a gorgeous home, beautifully remodeled and very clean. The location on Lake Toxaway is very convenient with a pretty view from the back deck. We had a great time and highly recommend Crest Cottage.
