Our 3 bedroom, 2 bath home enjoys 1 king and 2 queen beds, each with private vanity. Cook a fresh meal in the comprehensive kitchen or enjoy local eateries. Curl up by the fire with a good book, enjoy the sunset and sounds of the water feature from the screen porch, feel the warmth of the sun (or the fire pit) on the deck or get out and explore our many local waterfalls and hiking trails.   Spent most of the summer of 2022 in Colby's Cabin. The cabin is very comfortable and clean, and has all the appointments needed for mountain living. The hot tub with sweeping mountain views was a favorite.

  Fantastic facility that has everything you need. The glass door on the fireplace broke while a fire was burning but the owner still returned our security deposit. This tells me all I need to know about the owner. Fair and clearly a class act based con the upkeep of the cabin. The hot tub is the best I have ever used. You will love this place!

  Loved it! Great cabin with all the amenities. Hot tub and fireplace were fantastic. The property is very close to some excellent hiking trails, waterfalls and the lake. The cleaning crew was very efficient, thorough and friendly.

  First our contact was so great at customer service . Rachel at Lake Toxaway Company contacted us before we checked in during our stay and after we left. We have stayed in the area many times and this was a first . She was a real asset to our visit.
  Older cabin and more lighting in master would have been better. More comfortable seating in living area a recliner perhaps. Oven was outdated but worked . Screens for living area did not come up and down easily.
  Overall the outside areas, screen porch and the views were fabulous . We usually stay in Cashiers but Lake Toxaway but s now our new place to visit .

  My mother, fiancé and myself stayed for a long weekend in October and had the most magical time. Waking up to birds chirping ,the sunrise break over the mountains and the clouds slowly disappear each morning was relaxing. We used the hot tub every night while we drank wine after a long days hike . The hot tub was rejuvenating. Would recommend anyone wanting to spend a few days with beautiful scenery , any outdoors person. This cabin is a perfect getaway with family and friends.

  We had a great time at Colby’s Cabin. We had a group of 6 and it was plenty of room. We spent most of our time on the porch which was lovely - only thing was that the vegetation had grown and there wasn’t that much of a view. The entire house was very clean and well stocked.

  Overall we had a very nice time there. Peaceful. We had a bear attack on the previous guests' garbage on Monday morning early which was scary and memorable. Perhaps people should be warned to get their garbage out very early in the morning. Such a well supplied kitchen and dining room to the point where we couldn't find a place to put our food. Very comfortable.

  We spent a wonderful week here at Christmas. The property manager responded promptly to my questions prior to our arrival. The home was very clean and well maintained. The kitchen was well stocked, a real plus since during the pandemic we ate all meals in. There are many hiking trails and scenic drives nearby. We look forward to returning post-pandemic when we can explore the neighboring towns.

  The house was clean and in a beautiful area near the lake for hiking and fishing. Brevard is nearby as well as several other cute towns. We saw a bear wander by the house and white squirrel. The only issues we had were the hot tub de-programming and not heating and the fire alarm going off repeatedly for no reason , but the management company were prompt and available to help us.

  We had a lovely stay at Colby's Cabin. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well equipped, and the property spotless upon our arrival. The location has a nice view and good privacy. We really enjoyed the screened in porch in the mornings with the trickling pond and soaking in the hot tub in the evenings. We did get a few chigger bites while sitting outside, which the owner had mentioned could happen and is to be expected when surrounded by nature. Just make sure to wear some bug spray and/or long sleeve shirt/pants when outside. Overall a wonderful stay!

Lake Toxaway is a beautiful area, close to many great NC towns. Hiking in the area is challenging and beautiful, but still gentle enough to to with our family.   We loved the location, the quietness, and general vibe of the house. The overall kookiness was a lot of fun. It's refreshing to see personal touches and whimsy in vrbo houses. The house was very clean when we arrived - even the decorations were dusted. The kitchen was adequately stocked, the furniture was in good shape, and the outdoor area was very comfortable. My only nitpicky gripe is that the towels had a sourish smell (front loading washing machine gets skunky) and upon cleaning up on checkout day, we noticed the mattress covers and pillows had multiple stains. For the overall cost of the rental, it's time to get all new mattress covers and pillows.

  This was a great rental for our family. The house was just as we hoped it to be, clean and large enough for us all to roam around. We loved the porch looking out the mountain, and alternated between the hot tub and the fire pit. Loved our time. It was convenient to Turtle Back Falls and we loved that, a little further than we expected from Brevard, but an easy trip to town. A black bear was on the grounds and startled us, but we startled him too. We even got to see a white squirrel down the road as well. Such a great way to cool off during the summer and reconnect with this beautiful part of the country. Thanks for having our family stay!

  We used this cabin for a destination girls trip (5 people) and we LOVED the house. Spacious living room, covered porch and hot tub and 2 bathrooms made our trip perfect.   This cabin was absolutely perfect for our weekend in the mountains of NC. We rented Colby's Cabin for a special get-away with our daughter, her husband and their two children under 4. We couldn't have asked for more! The family area is very open (Kitchen, Dining, Living) with a porch on one side and a deck on the other. The split-level bedrooms gave their family privacy downstairs while we were up. The fireplace was our favorite! The large TV was great for college football games. The gas fire pit on the deck was ideal for watching the sunrise with morning coffee. The kitchen was well outfitted and the beds were very comfortable. The Jacuzzi was actually one of the main reasons we chose this cabin and it did not disappoint! All of us agreed we will have to rent this cabin again!

  We had a great weekend at Colby’s Cabin. We had everything we needed for a mountain weekend. Saw a black bear in the backyard within an hour of arrival. Our daughter loved the swing on the front porch along with the garden pond. She had a great time catching little frogs during the weekend. The kitchen was well stocked...everything you needed to cook dinner. The hot tub was a great way for adults to end the day. Dave was a great property manager, called us before our arrival. Our daughter left a DVD there, and he dropped it in the mail to us. We highly recommend Colby’s Cabin and management company. A great time in the mountains.

  Beautiful location, nice cabin, wonderful view. First night there, we killed a very large spider - i kid you not it was the size of my palm. My daughter and I were so freaked out we slept with the light on. There were other small bugs that we killed over the course of our stay and I understand being in a very wooded area it’s to be expected. But that spider!!
